Tokyo Game Show 2017 has announced a number of competitive titles that are going to be featured on their special stages sponsored by Sony and Samsung for its ‘e-Sports X (e-Sports Cross)’ event. It will be held on September 23rd and 24th September, which are the public days of TGS.
The event features tournaments for games such as Overwatch, in which a ‘dream team’ made up of Japan’s World Cup 2017 representatives will battle against the winning team of the Overwatch Championship Series in a heated show match!

Street Fighter V SHORYUKEN Tournament
There will also be a star-studded Street Fighter V tournament, where contenders fight for a share of the US$13,800 prize pool. Details are below:
Venue: Sony PlayStation BLUE STAGE
Time: 1pm to 4pm (GMT+8). Registration starts 12 pm
Notable Players: Punk, NuckleDu, Xian, GamerBee, Tokido, Bonchan, Nemo, Fuudo
There is also a 3-on-3 exhibition match showcasing Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 and its new co-op mode involving the top Japanese players. Other titles featured at the event include Phantasy Star Online 2, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Monster Hunter Double Cross, Puzzle and Dragons Radar, and Counter-Strike Online 2.
According to the organizers, some of the games will be broadcasted live on Twitch, which can be accessed from Tokyo Game Show’s website. However, the selected games that will be displayed for streaming have yet to be decided, although Street Fighter V is a safe bet since it’s pretty big in Japan.
