Super Evil Megacorp, creators of the mobile MOBA game Vainglory, has recently announced the Vainglory Southeast Asia Spring Championships. The tournament will be held in the Globe Iconic Store in Manila, Philippines,on May 13 and 14.
The quarter finals will take place on May 6 and 7 to determine which of the 4 teams will head off to Manila. This event will be Vainglory’s first ever offline tournament in the Southeast Asia region.
The teams that will be taking part in the eight-man dogfight are:
- Artisan (Singapore)
- Elite 8 (Indonesia)
- Exorcists (Vietnam/Singapore/Malaysia)
- Infamous (Thailand/Singapore/Australia/Sri Lanka)
- Impunity (Singapore/Philippines)
- J3X Inferno (Singapore)
- PH Alliance (Philippines)
- Silver (Cambodia)
Standout teams from this list include Singapore teams Impunity and Infamous. Impunity was qualified in last year’s Vainglory Worlds tournament.
Speaking of which, the teams will be competing for US$5,000,147,000 ICE (the in-game premium currency to buy heroes & skins) and a coveted spot at Vainglory Worlds 2017. Last year’s world tournament featured a total prize pool of US$120,000, so there’s a lot at stake here.
