Coming straight out of the Clash Royale Crown Championship Global Series tournament (CCGS), the Bridge Spam Deck is the new meta deck that have proved to be dominating against other decks out there, and successful in the current meta and competition.
The three main cards that make up the Bridge Spam are the Battle Ram, Bandit and the Night Witch.
The Battle Ram is a 4 Elixir Rare card that charges towards buildings, and spawns 2 Barbarians upon impact/death of ram.
The Bandit is a 3 Elixir Legendary card that dashes towards targets, dealing double the damage. The recent buff to its HP and dash initiating faster made her viable in the meta again.
The Night Witch is a 4 Elixir Legendary card that spawns Bats and packs a punch, while having decent amount of HP. She still provides a lot of value for 4 Elixir despite the recent nerf to both her and Bats .
The term “Bridge Spam” means you literally place these cards at the bridge, with Battle Ram in front. This is done either during Double Elixir time or when you’re counter pushing. Surprisingly, these 3 cards synergize very well with each other surprisingly.
Why This Rocks
Here’s how it works: the Battle Ram tanks in front, while forcing out defense to stop its charge. Meanwhile the Bandit is dashing around behind and will sneak in a dash onto the tower if not defended properly. The Night Witch then spawns Bats and providing decent damage through her melee attack.
This combo works so well because each of these cards require different countermeasures to defend against. For just 11 Elixir you get a diverse attack plan in a single push.
Even though the main strength of this deck is when these three cards are together on the field, there are still 5 other cards in the deck to fully complement this combo. Imagine a Poison, or a Log to throw in with the Bridge Spam combo!
Other variants includes the 3 Musketeers, or the Inferno Dragon.
Here’s a variant of the deck found in the CCGS.
Another strength of this combo is the ability to split it up to form multiple winning/push conditions.
For example, there’s Battle Ram + Bandit with/without Poison…
…and Pekka + Night Witch + Baby Dragon.
This versatility on attack and defense is what makes this deck stands out from all the other decks. The best players will mix up this trio combo to get the most value.
Sounds Good, But…
The only weakness is that almost everyone is using the Bridge Spam and the deciding factor lies in the different variants of the decks, which itself is the counter to the Bridge Spam. So do not be surprised if your opponents runs the exact same/similar deck to yours containing the Bridge Spam combo!
Just when you thought the meta was becoming stale for a while now, Bridge Spam appears and showed that dropping troops at the bridge can be a successful strategy too, and not just slowly building from the back. I’m excited to see the new decks that will appear in the upcoming CCGS Fall Season!
