Alexei Stukov, the infested Admiral, is a melee support hero from the Starcraft franchise.
Stukov had a hard life, and an even harder death. He was betrayed, shot into space, resurrected, and then infested… Almost cured, and then experimented upon as his infestation returned like a cancer. Now, this cancerous infestation spreads within the Nexus.
-Can solo the support role. Healing Pathogen can easily provide an area of effect-type heal over time to your team if they stick together as a group. This will be great for team fight potential against drawn out fights acting much like Malfurion’s Tranquility
-Sustained damage. Damage will come in the form of ranged poke using Weighted Pustule, spreading in exactly the same way Healing Pathogen does to enemy heroes, again, great for going up against clumped up enemy teams.
-Crowd Control. Stukov’s kit will bring your team A LOT of utility in the form of slow’s from Weighted Pustule, AOE silence from Lurking Arm, and knock-back from both his heroic abilities Flailing Swipe and Massive Shove.
-Weak Mobility and No Escape. Learn to position yourself in order to maximize your healing and CC effects. Don’t get caught out in the open all alone, you will be a sitting duck. Stukov is designed to aid allies, and will not perform well without them nearby.
-Hero Synergies: Being packed full of CC abilities, teammates who have access to some form of Executioner talent or effect will great a massive burst of damage potential from having Stukov on their team. Some examples include Raynor, ETC, Sgt. Hammer
-Hero Counters: High mobility hero who can avoid his zone control will beat down Stukov, and lacking any form of Cleanse, Heroes with access to multiple crowd control abilities will also be effective against him.
Some examples include: Anub’arak, Genji, Uther
Best Maps To Use Stukov In
-Maps involving a lot of team fighting situations and zone controlling will be great for Stukov as his kit revolves around crowd control. Stukov also appears to have somewhat good wave clear for a support using Weighted Pustule.
-He will perform great on maps that have choke points and two lane maps. He very much an all-rounder when it comes to maps.
-Stronger maps include: Braxis Holdout; Cursed Hollow; and Haunted Mines. Weaker maps include: Battlefield of Eternity.
-Stukov is excellent on teams that want to zone out the enemies away from essential allies and map objectives. He’s good at protecting the back-line damage dealers, as these teams compositions usually stay within healing range.
-Being able to almost spam your slows, channel an area of effect Silence indefinitely AND single handedly remove an enemy from a team fight, Stukov will make an excellent addition to most teams.
