Hail to the king, baby! Supercell just announced the timeframe of the Clash Royale Crown Championship tournament for the Southeast Asian side. Players from all over that particular region will be able to compete this coming Fall.
However, players from North America, Europe, Latin America, China, Korea, Japan, and some parts of Southeast Asia will get to participate a little early in the Spring segment of the tournament. The prize pool for this worldwide tournament is worth over US$1,000,000.
So how do Clash Royale players want in on this? Here’s how:
There are four phases on how to participate:
Phase 1 is the Open Play (May 11 – May 16) where players will compete in hundreds of 1000-man custom tournaments that will be created during this phase. The top players in each tournament will move onto the next phase.
Phrase 2 is the Bracket Play (May 20 – May 27). The winners from Open Play will compete in one of eight 1,024-man bracketed tournaments. Only 1 winner of each bracket will move on and form the Region’s top 8 players.
Phase 3 is the Top 8 (June 10 – June 25). During this phase, the 8 players will take part in a Round Robin format over a period of 3 weeks, whereby the last 2 players will be eliminated, allowing the Top 6 players to proceed into the final phase. The top 8 battles will be broadcasted live on YouTube, Twitch.tv, and Facebook during each weekend.
The last phase is the Spring Finals (July 30- July 2). The Top 6 players will go through a Double Elimination bracket and one will be crowned as this season’s Spring Champion!
There are a few requirements needed before players can register in the competition.
- Players need to have a level 8 account to participate
- Players must be residents of their competitive region
- Players have to be at least 16 years old.
If you fit the above requirements, you can register at https://crownchampionship.clashroyale.com/ and find your region from the menu. And that’s all! You will be all set to join Open Play tournaments once they are made available in-game.
Even though the Spring Season is only available to a select few countries, we are still very excited about The Crown Championship. This will propel Clash Royale to even greater heights in the esports scene.
We will be covering both Spring and Fall Seasons here at SPOUT360, so stay tuned and we’re excited for what’s in store for Clash Royale!
