Steam’s annual Summer Sale starts today and will run until July 6. Let’s check out the deals for their most popular titles.
Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
Everybody’s favourite loot-em-and-shoot-em FPS RPG from Gearbox Software now comes with a rather attractive price. Borderlands 2 and all of its DLC is S$8.58 while Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is S$16.47. If for some reason you’re not on this 4-player co-op-centric bandwagon, now’s the best time as any.
The Witcher III: Wild Hunt
Arguably the best game of 2015, this Game Of The Year edition is going for a sexy S$31.49 on Steam. If you want to kill off the rest of 2017 with a really solid and adventure-filled game, you cannot go wrong with this beast of a title. Monster-slaying, story-experiencing, sex on a stuffed unicorn: what’s not to love?
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) was launched five years ago as the latest edition to the Counter-Strike series, featuring new gameplay modes, matchmaking, and leaderboards. It has continued to receive development over the years, helping it to become Steam’s most-played FPS today. Originally priced at S$15, it is now going for S$10.
H1Z1: King Of The Hill
Developed by Daybreak Game Company, H1Z1: King of the Kill is a deathmatch survival first-person shooter game, where players search for loot and take each other out to be the last man surviving in a shrinking battlefield. It is now sold for S$10, half its usual price of S$20!
A futuristic Sports-Action game, players control vehicles in a soccer-like stadium, crashing them into balls to put them into their opponent’s net. Grab the game at 40% off, S$12 for a standard copy or S$17.10 for the Game of the Year edition which comes with additional downloadable content. The sequel to this badass open world adventure game is coming out this year, so why not relive the glory days of the game’s random Nemesis system and orc-slaying? The game is now going for S$5.80; its price of S$29 is slashed down by 80 percent.
Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force
This JRPG is going for S$9.80 (previously S$49), so if you like fairies, fencing, and advent dark forces, this one’s for you.
South Park: The Stick Of Truth
Unlike other South Park games back in the 90s, this RPG from the Obsidian folks is actually legit. It’s going for S$9.97. However, this is most likely the EU version so some bits like the alien abduction anal jokes and abortion bits are censored. Prudes.
This RPG featuring a red-headed woman and a talking sword is going for S$3. Given the pedigree of this title, I’d say that’s a huge steal.
