Malaysia is starting the first month of 2018 with a DOTA 2 bang.
ESL just announced that its Malaysia-based DOTA 2 minor tournament (the first for the year, mind you) will resume once again at Genting Highlands next year from January 23 to 28. The main event will be happening on the last three days of that week.
The tournament format will be the same as last January’s Genting tournament, except with one minor change. Instead of 8 teams, 16 teams will gather at Resorts World Genting and fight for the top positions while getting the lion’s share of the RM400,000 prize pool. So far, no teams have been announced yet, so stay tuned to SPOUT 360 for more updates on that. We’re guessing that Mineski will make their mark in this minor tournament.
In the meantime, you can get the tickets on October 19. Based on the website, tickets are going from RM180 (regular weekend pass) to RM500(premium tickets). You may want to buy them early; ESL One events have a ticket tier system that increases current prices if the arena capacity runs out.
