Team Flash has announced their first significant investment in esports with a 24/7 incubator, where their five-man DOTA 2 team will eat, train and sleep under a daily regiment.
The new Team Flash has paired up with NVIDIA and Orange Esports, and will represent Malaysia in the Dota Pro Circuit as well as The International.
The members of Team Flash come from various origins. They acquired three members of Reverse Heaven, a fast-rising team in Malaysia that has already won US$25,000 at local tournaments over the past eight months.
The trio – drafter Tan “TrazaM” Kai Soon, Wang “Gy” Kok Guan and Tan “jjz” Jia Jun – were joined by ex-star player of rival team Genesis, Yeong “Mercury” Kai Soon, and highly-rated player Kim “Unknown” Jit Pin to make up the new Team Flash.
“It’s a new experience for my team mates and me,” said jjz, captain of Team Flash, “But we feel great about the opportunity to join Team Flash and begin our full-time career in gaming.”
“For now, we are aiming to qualify for the Major and Minor leagues this season because the team is new and we need time to develop ourselves.”
The full roster is, in order of position 1 to 5:
- Kim “Unknown” Jit Pin
- Yeong “Mercury” Kai Soon
- Wang “Gy” Kok Guan
- Tan “TrazaM” Kai Soon
- Tan “jjz” Jia Jun (Captain)
Their management team comprises:
- Joel “Xtinct” Chan (Coach)
- Harrison “Hachiko” Truong (Analyst)
- Bonnie “BonBon” Wui (Manager)
Team Flash has qualified for the Acer Predator League Malaysia Finals, and will be attending the LAN finals on 24th to 26th November.
