The next Heroes Of The Storm update is a doozy, especially if you’re an avid Overwatch player.
First up: Ana & Junkrat are going to be playable heroes. If they’re anything like their Overwatch iteration, Ana will be healing and supporting from a sniper’s distance, while Junkrat will blow things up and have loads of area-of-effect skills at his disposal. It’s a perfect day for some mayhem indeed.
Blizzard will also be bringing in Volskaya Foundry as a new HOTS map: it will have players capture three control points in the middle of the map to summon a mech called the Triglav Protector which requires two players to pilot to wreck havoc onto your opponent’s territory.
Here’s what map designer John DeShazer has to say regarding the mech:
“The first person who enters the mech is the pilot and he gets to control a lot of the positioning and movement. The second person who enters it is the gunner, they get access to three very fun and interesting damage dealing abilities.”
Pretty exciting, eh? There’s no set date on when they’ll be out via a new major HOTS patch, but they may be available in the PTR servers as early as next week. Also on the upcoming new patch are new skins for Varian, D.Va, and Ana, as well as two new mounts. Check them out below:
