Of all the fighting games that came out over the past 5 years, Microsoft’s Killer Instinct reboot was perhaps the most underrated one of the lot. The game featured killer aesthetics, a huge line-up of diverse characters ranging from werewolves to cyborgs, and a unique-yet-high-level fighting game mechanic that involved combos and mind games. And yeah the soundtrack was a beast.
Despite all that, it never got a lot of love from the Southeast Asian fighting game community for reasons unknown. With this recent announcement via Twitter that the game will be available on Steam, we do hope that it finds a brand-new audience.
That's right, KI is coming to Steam later this year! Thanks to @CEOJebailey for helping us break the news. More details to follow.

While the game is available on PC via the Windows 10 store, not many gamers in Southeast Asia are open to the idea of upgrading their PCs to the latest OS and messing up a sure thing. With this news, PC gamers can enjoy the awesomeness of this underrated fighting game without going through all that new OS nonsense.
On a related note, Killer Instinct developers Iron Galaxy Games announced a new character: the ranged American-Indian fighter Eagle. The character’s movesets were revealed recently.
