Sea Group’s digital entertainment platform Garena announced that Arena of Valor (AOV), their first mobile 5v5 Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA), will soon be available for Filipino mobile gamers.
Jointly developed by Garena and Tencent Games, AOV was first released in Taiwan in October 2017 and has also been introduced in Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia. The game is currently in a pre-registration phase in the Philippines and is set to be released in October.
Up to 14 permanent heroes are completely free for its players once the game is released. Players can unlock all available heroes by completing the tutorial, the Road to Glory quest, or by simply playing with friends.
“We are excited to launch Arena of Valor in the Philippines as Asia represents a multi-billion dollar gaming industry with 80% of its gamers playing mobile games,” Frederic Chiong, Country Manager for Garena Philippines said.
“As a game publisher, Garena has spearheaded various top-tier titles across Southeast Asia to great effect. As we welcome the latest addition to our growing list, we aim for AOV to be positioned as the best mobile experience for gamers in the Philippines,” Chiong added.
