Ever feel like the heroes of Vainglory needed a more OP kinda boost? Well you can do just that thanks to the game’s latest patch which introduces Talents.
According to publisher Super Evil Megacorp, Talents are collectable hero upgrades that amplify their skills moreso than usual. Heroes can now do triple damage with certain skills, stun more heroes with their area-of-effect skills, and equip passive skills that lower down cooldown times super-fast!
All Vainglory heroes have unlockable Talents that can be unlocked via Talent coins. These coins are categorized into different tiers: Rare, Epic, and Legendary. To get them, just play five player-versus-player matches with five different heroes and open up chests that you get from games.
Do keep in mind that Talents will only be available in Vainglory’s non-competitive Brawl game mode, probably because multiple Talents are not balanced for competitive play. Yet. Check out the trailer below for a full overview of Talents.
Apart from Talents, patch 2.5.0 also brings in:
-New Hero skins like the “Netherknight” Lance (see below) and “Broken Doll” Alpha.
-A few Quest Interface changes, mostly to focus on the 5-Hero Chest quest.
-New purchase options: you can now buy Glory points with ICE (real world money converted into Vainglory’s).
-Dodging and Low Priority Queue changes. If you dodge matches, you get penalized heavily. If you troll in-game, you spend more time in the Low Priority Queue.
