Vainglory’s latest developer update video revealed a couple of pleasant surprises for Southeast Asia.
First up: the 2017 Vainglory World Championships will be held in Singapore, right where the game – then known as Kindred – first began. Stay tuned for more details on the dates and location of the worldwide tournament.
For current players, the coming update 2.7 includes fixes, skins, a new hero preview and Talent cost revamps:
- Latency has been improved in hotspots all over the world, especially in Southeast Asia where lag spikes are reduced by 35 percent. Indonesia’s ping is reduced by 11 percent, while The Philippines experiences improved consistency by 32 percent. Cambodia’s lag spikes are reduced by 55 percent, while Thailand experiences improved consistency by 35 percent.
- Upgrade costs for Talents have been drastically reduced. Early Talents purchasers will be refunded 100% of the difference.
- Four new skins will be released: Red Rona Legendary Skin, Dire Fortress, Valkyrie Grace and Butterfly Celeste.
- New hero preview: Reza, a fiery assassin with a demon netherform.
Vainglory Redditors speculate that update 2.7 will hit in two days, though there is no official confirmation as of now. Check out the whole update video below.
